VAMPIRE -----
:: The Ministry of Magic has classified vampires as non-wizard part-human. With that being said, no vampire may use magic or carry a wand.
:: It only takes one encounter to become a vampire. A bite to the jugular vein or any other vital artery will quicken the process tremendously. The turn from mortal to immortal is slow and painful – imagine being dragged behind a horse and carriage.
:: Vampires are known to be very pale and slender but this is not always the case. All vampires have sharp fangs which will extend and get longer right before feeding.
:: They are not seen as a threat to the magical community, however some still fear them and often demand awareness of such beings.
:: A newly transformed vampire must feed for a constant twenty four hours. If they do not intake enough blood, they could succumb to the hunger and parish. Those who have been vampires for longer will often carry bottles and flasks filled with blood to feed from, they're also fans of blood pops sold at Honeydukes. :: Vampires mostly lurk during the night hours, as contact with direct sunlight will cause intense burning and possibly death.
:: They’re sensitive to raw garlic. It makes them itch and causes a mild irritation to their nostrils, mouth and eyes. In 1995, Vampire Activists helped the Ministry of Magic make it illegal to hang a garlic braid in a public area.
:: A vampire’s senses are amplified and they can tell when other vampires are around.
WEREWOLF -----
:: A werewolf has no control over themselves once they’ve changed. They’re an untamed beast, unable to differentiate friend from foe. The transformation process is extremely painful and once transformed they become extremely aggressive and will attack anything in their path; typically humans. If there are no humans in the area while transformed, the werewolf will attack itself out of frustration which leaves many werewolves with self-inflicted scars. Each transformation is hard on the human body and will prematurely age them.
:: One can become a werewolf by being bit via saliva-blood contact. However, if a human is bit by a werewolf in human form, the person will only acquire some tendencies; like a craving for rare raw meat.
:: They only transform once a month, under the full moon. They can sense when a full moon is coming and often act strange and become ill as it gets closer to the full moon. There is no way to prevent from turning into a werewolf, however taking a Wolfsbane potion will retain the witch or wizards mind which will free them from the constant worry of attacking others or themselves while transformed.
:: Those who have become a werewolf rarely have offspring, as there is a chance of the child being a werewolf themselves. It is unknown how high the risk is of getting the genes of a werewolf, but due to the fact that one turns via saliva-blood contact it is something to be very cautious of.
:: Unlike vampires, werewolves are allowed to carry wands and practice magic.
:: Because there is no known way to repel werewolves It is strongly advised to avoid known werewolves at all costs during the time period of the full moon. If you find yourself out wandering and think there might be a werewolf around get out as soon as possible.
:: Werewolves are often shunned in the wizarding world and are feared by the general population. It is incredibly hard to get a job which leads many werewolves to suffer poverty. Some who are werewolves will often rebel from the wizarding world and hate those who fear them and disrespect them. There are known werewolf groups who are out to give everyone the same curse they bear; in hopes to one day take control of the magical community.

VEELA -----
:: Veela's are known to be beautiful, young women, and their dances are quite hypnotic to nearly all males. Veela's are typically female but on rare occasions some have been male.They're semi-human, semi-magical creatures who mostly carry the trait of blond hair and blue eyes. They are quite the charming type and can pull people into a trance as if a sense of infatuation overwhelms them. However when angry they transform into something quite terrifying. Their faces turn bird like and long scaly wings tear through their backs; but the most interesting of all is that they can shoot fire from their hands. You'll hear many in the magical community tell you "Don't mess with those Veela's, they're quite tempermental!" but they are not very easy to anger, but rather feared by some.
:: Veela's have a high rate of marrying wizards and having children. The children from a mix such as this can sometimes make the child half Veela. Being half Veela basically means that you're able to reel people in with your hypnotic trance but you cannot transform into a bird like creature when angered.
ANIMAGI -----
:: An Animagus is someone of either gender that can morph into an animal by choice. It is a learned ability rather than something that is hereditary. Typically the animal that Animagi's morph into is that of their Patronus; however it is unknown if all Animagi's turn into their Patronus or not. Animagi's can only morph into one animal and those who become one cannot choose the animal of their choice, as the animal is picked by the inner traits and personality of the witch or wizard.
:: Becoming an Animagus is extremely difficult and you must be a very powerful and skilled witch or wizard to do so. Becoming an Animagus is long and difficult; the overall process can be very dangerous as it can backfire. Once the skill and training has been accomplished, one can morph at will whenever they wish, with or without a wand.
:: Each person with this ability bears a mark that identifies them in their animal form, this is caused by something on their body or can be a psychical trait such as glasses or hair loss. If an Animagus is effected by a major physical change their animal form will reflect it, for example if they were badly scarred or were to lose a limb.
:: It is required that everyone with this ability registers and reports to The Ministry Of Magic at the office for improper magic.
METAMORPHMAGUS -----
:: A Metamorphmagus is a rare ability that enables one to change their appearance at any given time without magic or potions. Anyone with this ability can take a large variety of different forms, they can change basically anything they put their mind to including their gender and age -- they can even turn into anyone at all, becoming a complete and utter stranger.
:: This ability presents itself very early in life, typically during the infant stages but has known to show signs during the pre-teen years. Starting out this ability is extremely hard to control, as it has a lot to do with ones emotions. There is no way to help one control it as the ability itself is very rare -- it is a trial and error way of learning how to keep it at bay. However this rare gift greatly affects the emotional state and is impossible to fully control, so anything the person is going through or feels will greatly reflect itself to others, or possibly even disable the person to show any signs of the ability altogether.
:: Like Animagi's, Metamorphmagus's must register with The Ministry Of Magic.
LEGILIMENCY -----
:: This ability is the act of navigating through the many layers of one person's mind and discovering one's findings, hidden thoughts, and memories. A witch or wizard who practices such art is known as a Legilimens; many consider this as "mind-reading" but those who partake in this ability consider that term naive. The opposite of this ability is Occlumency which is used to shield one's mind from being invaded.
:: The most advanced and skilled Legilimens can perform nonverbally and wandlessly, but those who are not as skilled must use incantation Legilimens to enter the mind of another. Those with this ability are able to detect lying, as well as withdraw from their inner thoughts, memories, and emotions.
:: It is easier to invade ones mind if the Legilimens make eye contact, but it is not always necessary, especially if someone is highly skilled in the ability.
:: Those who are highly skilled in this ability are able to influence a mind that they enter; and can give their target indepth realistic visions or even possess them. The act of possessing is extremely difficult and painful to the person who is being controlled. -- Being able to do these things are extremely rare.
OCCLUMENCY -----
:: Occlumency is when someone magically closes their mind against Legilimency. It can prevent a witch or wizard who is skilled in Legilimency from reading ones thoughts, memories, feelings, or even influencing them. Those with the Occlumency ability can clear their mind and make it completely blank, which makes it impossible for Legilimens to enter and read.
:: This skill is incredibly hard to learn and is rare in the magical community; it is not taught in Hogwarts. It requires a lot of mind and emotion control as well as a strong amount of discipline, especially when it comes to resisting the Imperius Curse.
:: When one is highly skilled they will have no issue resisting Veritaserum and the Imperius Curse. However it takes years for an Occlumens to fully control and hide their thoughts, memories, and emotions.
SEER -----
:: A seer is someone who is gifted with the ability to see into the future with their inner eye. They can predict prophecies which are then taken and held within the Department of Mysteries in the Hall of Prophecy. Being a true seer is extremely rare and those who are seers are often eccentric and seen as loons, mostly because of Mrs. Trelawney.
